Orca is built with a privacy-first approach. We collect as little as possible.

What we collect

Locally stored on your device only: child's name, chosen mascot, calibration values (screen px/cm and viewing distance), trial-by-trial scores, daily streak, pet XP. None of this leaves your browser unless you click "Export CSV".
From purchase: Gumroad collects your email and payment info as part of their service. See Gumroad's privacy policy. We receive only your license key and order ID.

What we do NOT collect

No camera or microphone access (the app does not use a webcam).
No automatic uploading of session data to our servers — your child's data stays on your device.
No third-party tracking cookies. We may add privacy-friendly analytics (e.g. Plausible) which counts page views without identifying you.
No social-media tracking pixels.

Cookies / local storage

The app uses your browser's localStorage to remember your child's progress. This is technically required for the app to work. Clearing your browser data will erase the saved progress.

Your rights

Because all child data is stored only on your device, you control it completely. To delete it, clear the browser data for our site or click "Reset" in the app.

Children's data (COPPA / HK PCPD)

Orca is intended for use by children with adult/parent supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The child's name entered is stored only on the local device.
